  • PCGS, NGC and PCI will be doing on-site grading at Baltimore. ANACS and ICG will be there also and I am sure they will take submissions for grading. The cost of on-site grading is a lot more than having it done at their headquarters. Bringing all their equipment and personnel to do on-site is a very expensive process for the grading services, and of course that expense will get passed on the customer. Check with each of the five grading services at the show on prices for on-site and off site grading and then decide. A lot of that decision will be how expensive the coins you want graded are, and how quick you want them back. If you have expensive coins, want them graded at the show, so you can sell them at the show, you may want to consider on-site grading. Many folks do.

Will PCGS take a ecomony submission at the show with less then 10 coins? Like walk up with a 3 coin economy submission.

I was waiting for someone who knew the details to answer, but this thread is dropping. I think it is $100 for PCGS grading at a show.
    I collect circulated U.S. silver

I'm not totally sure, but I believe that the minimum for an Economy Submission is 5 coins.

The TPG's will accept coins for all submission tiers until about Saturday afternoon. Check with the companies' representatives for their cut-off times.

PCGS and NGC will both be grading on-site. PCGS usually cuts off around Saturday morning and NGC around midday Friday. Turnaround time is typically around 24 hours, depending on their volumes. Coins are graded at a heavily guarded location at the Convention Center away from the bourse floor.
