Can someone identify this..?

Hey, recently recieved some coins from my grandmother and it had this strange gold coin..not sure where its from since its so cut off at places, and the only numbers/letters I can see are 1714 and OMJ. It seems to be real gold since its somewhat heavy, about that of a Nickel, but I don't know how to do tests for gold.

Anyone know where this would come from? Whether its fake or real, I dunno. Maybe I can find out if I can find out where its from.

It appears to be a 2 escudos struck at the Mexico City mint. Can you please post pics of both sides and try to keep the glare to a minimum - that would help greatly in trying to determine if it is genuine. I would also suggest you get the coin weighed - a jewelry store is an excellent place to do this.

With the glare, you aren't missing anything if thats what you are thinking. Its merely a flat in the places of glare, no engravings/words.

The size of a nickel would be a 2 escudo gold coin. This is from the Mexico mint 1714. It looks real from the picture but with out seeing and weighing it I can''t be positive. Should weigh about 6.77g. Dated cob type coins of any denomination from Mexico are tough to find.
