Do you think a trip to NCS would benefit this 3 legs Buffalo?

I would think if you remove that stuff from that surface and you will end up with the equivalent of Tommy Lee Jones' face.

The problem is that it is not simply an issue of toning on the surface, but corrosion that looks to be eating into the surface of the coin. I don't think there's anything useful here that NCS could or even attempt to do. Yeah, I think we're talking Tommie Lee ....

I think someone already tried to remove that stuff. Look at the area underneath the chin which is ever uglier than the rest of the coin. It probably looks as good, right now, as it ever could.

I see what you are talking about, no mention of "cleaned" on the holder though, maybe corroded was enough?----BigE

Sort of makes me laugh when the dark residue from being in the ground is referred to as "toning." I mean, I guess it's toning, but only for lack of a better word.

Me thinks the obverse is terminal.

But, heck, the REVERSE is the show, ya know.
