    Considering the Raiders were the most over the cap and would save 9.2 million by cutting Collins, I'm surprised they didn't do it sooner.
    Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

    Talk about overhyped...Collins was a bad pickup by a team that bought into the NY hype that surrounds every mediocre player there. He had a couple years with lots of yards, but has ALWAYS made bad decisions that led to tons of INTs.

    Not everything, but when I see a mediocre player like Collins (or worse, Jason Seahorn) overhyped simply because of playing in New York, it gets tiresome for the rest of the nation who has to have their 'greatness' pushed on us.

    No kidding. Axtell's anti NY rhetoric borders on OCD. It is nearly as bad as the Spamsters spamming.

    Kerry Collins was a solid QB in NY and did QB them to a Super Bowl. A loss, but a Super Bowl it was.

Anyone outside that sphere of influence sees it all the time with mediocre players who get hyped beyond belief just because they play in NY. Why can't you?
