newps - lotsa pix!!!

Tired of the SA copper?!?!?! Went to the local dealer's yesterday and picked up a few nice coins:
1977 Aussie 2 Cent (from a mint set) with a green lizard and queen!

How about a purple lizard/queen?!?!?!

or a purple marsupial/queen???

A New Zealand copper cent (1942) with deep burgandy toning:

And I just have to throw in one SA coin - a proof Rand from 1985 that I think is one of the most spectacularly toned rands that I have seen (I got this one on ebay from bidkid (Kevin))

The Aussie mint sets all had toned coppers in them - I bought 4 of the '77 sets, 1 '70 set and 1 '69 set (all of the sets that the dealer had). All in all I would say it was a good day for copper lovers!
