I renewed my Tigers 21-game season tickets...

I am a huge Tigers fan, I don't care how good or bad they are (I think they've got a legit shot at 2nd in the division this season actually - behind Cleveland), and I can't think of anything more enjoyable on a Saturday evening during the summer than to go to the ballpark and watch live ML baseball.

This summer, I'm also planning to hit a Philly game while I'm there for Fort Washington in May, I'd like to get down to Cinci and see that new park, I'm sure I'll be at Wrigley at least once, I'll probably go to Cleveland to watch the Tigers play there at least once, and if I go to the National, I'll get to an Angels game.

  • Opening day baby! Taking my 10 year old son. It will be a surpise, I'm gonna tell him that he has a dentist appointment, pick him up at school around 10:00 and wait for the look on his face when we pull into the parking lot at the ballpark. Can't wait.

I absolutely must be a baseball fan because I've got tickets to the opening day of the Florida Marlins season. image

I also picked up a couple of tickets for the July 2nd game against the Red Sox. Gotta see Josh Beckett and Mikey Lowell back in the stadium.

I woke up at 6:00 a.m. PST (I live in California) to get online and buy tickets for a couple Red Sox games at the end of July. After about two hours I finally got through and me and some buddies are making our first pilgrimage to beautiful Fenway Park. After that I can die a peaceful and contented man.

The first time i stepped foot into Fenway, it was Game 1 of the '04 World Series. I was in total awe of the place. As a true baseball fan, regardless of who you cheer for, it's a sight to be seen.

    Cramped concourses...
Rubbing elbows with the person next to you because the seats are waaaaay too small..
Chipped paint from the years of wear and tear...
The Green Monster (those seats are "wicked" awesome)...

I haven't been to Wrigley, so I can only say what I know based upon personal experience. Again, just as a baseball fan...

    BEST. PARK. EVER.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

One more thing: Make sure you walk through both concourses from foul pole to foul pole and just suck it in. Same with the outside of the stadium and make sure to grab a susage like hotdog on a large slice of bread (can't remember name). Unfortunately, I'm not eloquent enough to put the experience into words. Just trust me on this image

    Enjoy!

I'll get to a lot of parks in my lifetime, but my first love is Dodger Stadium. Although, Fenway was beautiful and chock full of history. I have to say, the San Fran park (used to be SBC park) is very, very nice.

  • Fenway is somewhere I need to go before I die.

I went to Wrigley last summer ... just a magical, beautiful park except if you have to go to the washroom. There are very few washrooms and the urinals are the infamous troughs ... Call me self-conscious but I hate those troughs.

I am heading to Blue Jays Spring Training - have tickets for four games I believe. Have to check out this new squad with Glaus, Burnett, Ryan, Overbay etc.
  • You will love Dunedin. In my opinion the most authentic spring training experience
  • Dand52261,

This is around my 15th visit to Dunedin to see the Jays. It's a little slice of baseball heaven there. No parking hassles. Great access to autographs. In the midst of a small town. It's beautiful.
