    Kirby put on a lot of weight after he retired and he was big already when he played. He is still one of my favorite players despite his recent legal issues.

    I hope he is OK.

    It was actually a couple of years ago. It was a sexual harassment or support case. His girlfriend sued him for money and included a few lurid details about Kirby.

    The Twins retired his number 34 in 1997, and in 2001, he became the third youngest man ever elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame, going in at age 40 in his first year of eligibility.
