I recieved a strange looking quarter in my change yesterday. It is a Georgia quarter but it is very shiny and sounds like silver. It seems a little light also. Has a tink noise instead of a quarter sound when dropped on a table. It also wont work in soda machine. Anyone know anything about this one. I no nohing about coins by the way other than metal detecting and collecting them that way. Thanks, Biggmike

It could also be a clad (copper and nickel) proof. On a proof, the flat fields are mirror like and the raised deviced are frosty white.

When the 1999 Silver Proof Sets were the only ones out, I saw packaging trash outside a location with videos games. It was winter, and I feel sure some kid took their 1999 silver proof set and broke out the quarters for the arcade. That set would have produced many more quarters if sold today!
Welcome to the boards!!!

PR67DCAM- $45
PR68DCAM- $50
PR70DCAM- $1775
Since yours is circulated, I'd imagine it's worth $10-20?
