Is the 1988 41st Edition Redbook with the circular embossed seal over the date 1987 the rare one?

I have stumbled across a 1988 edition Redbook, 41st Edition. It has a sticker on in promoting a limited edition pure silver medal honoring the 41st Redbook. A picture of the medal is embossed on the front cover and the medal shows a date of 1987. I am confused and do not know if this book is the rare one from 1987 that was tied in with the ANA.

Can anyone help me out and clear things up for me? Thanks.
