After looking for years, I finally found an upgrade coin and a week later I found an even better coi

................ so now I have two of them.

Last Monday I picked up a 1955 Proof Set in a Capital holder that had a hazed over half that looked to be a CAM/DCAM. I had a dealer I know bathe the coin and it is a lock CAM, probably a 67. Boy was I happy since I have been looking for just such a coin for years to use to upgrade my raw Proof Frankie set.

So today I stop by a local shop and check out some OGP proof sets. None of them did anything for me until I looked at the last one, a 1955 flat pack. Surprise, it contains a 1955 half that looks as good as if not better than the upgarde coin I picked up on Monday. I thought what should I do, what should I do? Then after about 30 seconds going What should I do?, OCD kicked into gear and I scooped up the set.

So now, after looking for years for an upgrade 1955 CAM proof half, I find two of them in less than a week. Unfrigginbelievable.

I've had similar experiences with bust half dimes. Looked and looked for an 1829 LM-10 die marriage and just couldn't find one. Finally saw that Brian Greer was selling an MS-62 example and bought it. Within two weeks, I found XF or better examples twice, both times unattributted! Bought them too and ended up trading them for other bust half dimes I needed.
