1866 seated half - does it need a bath?

Here are two sets of images of a raw 1866 seated half. The first set shows how the coin looks under normal light. It is pretty dark and has a dull almost chocolate color overall on both sides. The second set shows the coin has luster that shines though when it is turned just right. There is not a mark, hit, or scratch visible anywhere on the coin to the naked eye. There appears to be a small something in the left obverse field in the first photo, but I can't see it with a 10X loupe. My question is does the coin look like it would benefit from a trip to NCS to get a bath and get rid of the dark color?

Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
Imo the first set of photos gives the appearance of ample mint luster all over the coin except for a large right obv field break. The 2nd group leaves no doubt that the coin only has a smaller amount of luster left and is well circulated.
Don't touch it.

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
Second picture, while flattering (IMO) colors now stand out, make the coin look like an AU.
This might not be the case if it were to be sent in, why chance it?
It sounds like you are uncomfortable with the way the coin looks now.
My advice, do not give it a bath, sell it & buy one you do like....probably easier said than done.
