1878-CC Dollars with Rotated Reverses are not that rare; in fact, they are one of the most common Morgan Dollar Rotated Reverses.
However, because they are First Year Issues, AND Carson City Mint coins, they are extremely popular and fast, easy sellers.
I'm not sure, but I think they are the only CC date known in RR (not counting 15 degree or less rotations).
By the way, the U.S. Mint today considers anything under 22 degrees NOT to be an error worth "pulling aside" when discovered at the presses.....
