I have to make a single print of it without the name to satisfy the request of Whitman Publishing and Q. David Bowers, then I will include the name over the weekend and make the prints on Monday. They will be available for order on Monday.

Hermon MacNeil - Standing Liberty Quarter.
Just as a side note, the photograph of the drawing will be redone as time permits. The contrast shows well on the right side of the drawing, but there is contrast in the left side that the sunlight drowned out. I'll do the photo again later with room lighting to see if it comes out better.

Thumbs up for not using the Spaghetti Hair version of Washington.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

<< <i>Fantastic, how long does it take to get all of that detail in there? >>
Roughly 22 hours drawing time...about ten days working a couple of hours straight per day. I generally work ten minutes, then take a break - work another ten minutes, take a break. Takes about four hours to get two hours of drawing in. It's because of the details and the tedium that I have to take breaks from it so often.
I usually make a phone call, read messages, or get other work done during the breaks.

Another great job on the print and I will put in my request for my # also.

You forgot to mention adding 25 coins a day to inventory, taking photos of a couple dozen coins a week, working on my books, and teaching computer programming at the local university part time.
At least I can never complain about not having anything to do.

Awesome job once again Chuck !
Nice work, as always.
I can't help but wonder if you've ever done a drawing of Adolph A. Weinman? If so, can you direct me to that thread? I need a nice depistion of him to go with a coin display I'm doing for our annual show in April that features my two favorite coins, the Mercury Dime and the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. There is a profile in the David Lange book, but had hoped to find a frontal shot.
Anyway, great work and thanks for sharing!

I haven't yet begun my search for a good image of him to use, but would greatly appreciate any leads. I had planned on drawing him at some point later in the year.
Other people for whom I do not have good images that I want to draw:
Anthony DeFrancisci
Charles Barber
George Morgan
Anybody got good photos of these guys? Give me the photo I use in the drawing and you get a print for free....how's that for incentive??
