  • I've read a lot of things here that seem to work well for lighting. The common answer always seems to be to use as much natural lighting as possible, and don't use a flash.
    There is a globe that your camera fits on (and then over the coin) that is sold by several companies that captures all the available natural light. I haven't purchased one, but I've seen them work at the major shows and the results are pretty amazing.
    One of the companies is called CoinOptics out of Oregon. They have a website.

    Is it okay to list a company name like that on here?
