The coin shown is a Type of 1917 Merc Dime. The wing feather detail configuration was only used in the middle to latter part of 1917. Starting with the 1918 production the detail was changed for the last time. The type of 1918 was used thru the end of the series.
Here are the 3 Types of Wing Feather Detail. Type of 1916 on left. Type of 1917 in the middle. Type of 1918 on the right.
