A collector needs to buy that 1803 Dollar and put it away, thus rescuing it from its near-inevitable crack-out, dip-out and upgrade.

Dip-Out verb To dip a coin so vigorously that it loses any semblance of originality, attractive luster and original decades-to-acquire tone and then immediately gets upgraded at the major services.

I think if that coin got dipped,it would go down a point. The eye appeal the way it looks is a real plus !!

There are a bunch of bust and seated halves that are scruptious.
Personally I like the 1851-0 half in MS65 or the 1854-0 in MS66.
I'm sure I cannot compete on those so good luck. The 54-0 seems particularly impressive. The 66-s no motto half in MS65++ is no slouch but there is little doubt that Gene will end up with that one.
