It is the only one, out of 1084 graded. Only 23 9's also.

WOooW! I near-impossible card to get in a 10! I bet this card clears $8,000! What a find!

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!

If a '75 Brett went for $8k last week I would think a '70 Munson would be worth much more; tougher card, loyal following of Munson and Yankee collectors, etc.... I say $10-12k.
  • Great item! Folks in my tax bracket simply don't even think about bidding in these types of auctions.

I love this. Just what can you see from a scan that the rest of us can't?

  • I'm the fussiest SOB around here and I was like B-L-A-M! when I looked at that. I got a serious baseball chubbie! That card looks fantastic with the image quality I'd be looking for...now, does anyone have an extra 8 grand I could "borrow"???

    Katie bar the door!

One thing I love about the '70 set (and Topps design tendencies in general)... they revived the lettering for "Yankees" from the '67 set for the team title on that card... it really works great there and makes me actually like the card more because the '67 set was a killer design.

The card is off the chart! Only one 10?

    Tell ya what...

I'll take the 8 that was posted the other day and...

take the difference and head out to Vegas!

Dont get me wrong....I LOVE the card....would take it in a heartbeat, but it seemed the centering was off a bit for a 10, and from what I see there is a rough edge on it too...could be wrong.....I am not bashing the card, or the grade really, but maybe just expecting too much for the only 10 in existance.

  • It sure is sweet and given the 1 of 1, I bet it clears 10K. But, IMHO, I'd rather have 1 of the 2 71 PSA 9's.

  • Wow - that sure is a sweet looking 8. I'd take that and save the 10K. I have a Greatest Moments Thurm. I believe it is a PSA 6 MC - but still nice and obviously a bit rare. PM if you are interested in making a deal.

I don't know about any California Ebay tax but there are two things I can tell you having lived here in Cali for 37 of my 38 years and having visited most every state in this fine union: 1) taxes in Cali are high but 2) people from all over the country keep moving here for some reason!? Year round great weather, the hottest women, and the list goes on! High taxes and all it's an extremely great place to live!

very nice..i say it ends in 5 figures. mine is more like a 6 if it were graded.

Why did this seller use a "grey background" behind the slab, basiclly the same color as the "grey surfaces" of this 1970 topps beauty? Why not use a "contrasting color" behind the slab, that would highlight those gem mint edges and corners on such a monster card?

Of all those Munson's listed in the pop report, the toughest card is the '76 OPC... only 2 graded to date (one PSA 6 and one PSA 8)... I own the PSA 8 if anyone is interested in it please PM me... sorry for the spamola, but it seemed an appropriate place to drop it.

Killer card, but I agree the t-b centering is pushing 10 standards.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Not to bash a beautiful card but the reverse centering bothers me. I wouldn't mind paying the 9 price for it.
