Sellers who suck

I hate auctions like this........Shady Seller

Sellers like this are bad for our hobby. A lot of hype about cards that can be pulled, and one line at the end of the auction stating how many packs/cards there are.....i.e., not letting careless buyers knowing he's selling BS $9.99 retail boxes and pawning them off like high dollar hobby boxes.

To make matters worse, check out the feedback. Not only a lot of negatives from buyers who feel hosed, but then check their feedbacks. Anyone who gives the seller even a neutral "I was confused" gets a negative. Another seller who will take your money but doesn't have the stones to leave feedback until he feels safe from his little "scam".

I'll give you the last line of his auction states the truth, but is there a doubt as to what he's really trying to do?????

I think it bites.

Yep, I see this idiot's auctions everytime I look to buy an unopened box of something. Probably lots more people that are afraid to leave him feedback that he deserves for fear of retaliation.
  • Good packaging & fast ship. Not what expected. Description was misleading.

I checked this dealer out. He is one to avoid. Enough people stated he has deceiving auctions. Sure, he can always say the customer did not read it thoroughly, but he is being disingenuous in the first place.

It used to be that you can make money in American capitalist society by providing a better product or service than the next guy. The consumer would have the best of the best to choose from for a reasonable cost. However, I am seeing more and more that products and services are getting worse, and deception and other tactics to separate you from your money are getting more and more crafty.

I don't care if this guy has 99% feedback and over 10000 transactions. That has nothing to do with the upstanding integrity of his business practices. It just means he knows how to play games with collectors real well. He is a CROOK.

Notice how on his neg feedback he puts in a reply that customer never contacted him that anything was wrong. I don't believe that for a moment. A customer will contact the seller first, usually. This guy is just happy to take people's money and be done with it.

I am not saying that every irrate customer should get a refund in order to hush up, but this current brand of capitalism is really a world of crafty ways to get at your money without providing you with a superior product. Its not just on ebay, but automotive mechanics, contractors and car dealers.

The problem with these type of sellers is that newbies want to enter the hobby and then quickly get burned. That can easily turn them off from the hobby. Its a sad loss too, because without new members to the hobby, the fun cannot be shared. Also, card values will plummet

If you look closely, even his positive feedbacks aren't that great.

    + k-mart $9.99 box arrived Buyer lewis.sports ( 294) Mar-01-06 08:37 8765640481

The seller is selling a lot of retail boxes at three to four times the going rate. But he is disappointing a lot of buyers along the way. And that can't be good for the hobby.

Notice no paypal either, not that that matters much.

LOL on the same ebay page "items from all sellers" the Ben Franklin 1/1 auto is shown. it is at 58.000.00 I wonder what a reg run of the mill franklin auto would go for? certaintly not 60.000.00!

yeah guy blows. only I can't see where he is selling retail or hobby thru all that gibberish.
    Good for you.

I agree that the seller is shady and I wouldn't run my business this way. But the buyers have to take some responsibility. Has reading and writing taken a back seat in America? I read his discriptions and understood exactly what they were getting. His title listing is clearly spam, but he says you get 5 packs with 5 cards.

It is decieving, but buyers should take the time to see what they are bidding on-especially at a below ebay average price. D&A list all of the odds and stuff in their listings, they just list the # of packs at the top.

I agree, we should all take an hour of our time to read all that guy's bells and whistles.

Some people are just genetially incapable of being forthright and honest. It's just not in their blood. If this clown wasn't pushing sports cards he'd be selling bogus magazine subscriptions or used cars or something. You can't change idiots like this, so the only option your left with is simply avoiding them.
