    This is a " So called Dollar " a William Penn HK - 462 . My Dad was from Philly , which is probably how I got my first one .

    Neat. Is that a US Mint product? If not, who made it?

    All my roots are in Philly. I was born a Vermonter, but my parents were transplants. All my extended family was there, and I have spent many happy days in that city.

    Many So Called Dollars were minted on site , by mint employees at centennials , expo's , others were privately minted .
    These were struck by Whitehead & Hoog Co. . Designed by Kileny , N.Y. sculptor . The celebration was held in Philly Oct. 24 1932.
