I got a "bidder question" today. Looked like a legit one. But it went to my OLD email addy and was on an item that I have no connection with. I didn't respond. This COULD be some new way of fishing for scams. I don't know, but forwarded it to spoof@ebay.com

It is a scam, and it's not all that new. In my case these are easy to spot since I have my eBay eMail preferences set to text only, and these phishing mails almost always come as HTML.

I get them at email addresses that I've never used on ebay. They are just sent out at random like most spam.
