Although a mostly white coin, it does have some gold around the rim.
It will do till a better one comes along. 1827/6 O-101

What are artifact lines?
<< <i>Doesn't OKBustchaser hoard all the 1827's? Better hope he doesn't see that you got one >>
Well, I guess that I can spare ONE...just don't let it happen again!

It might be something I try after the basic date set & variety set are completed.

take a large image, then reduce it 50%, then reduce that image 50%.
you will start to see distortion of the fine details of the image along certain lines across the image.
do this in enough steps and you can produce some really funky images
anyway, I think I see a grid of "image reduction artifact lines" that look like surface disturbances.
could be wrong thou, have been before

Thanks for the info. Now that you explained, I think I also can see some grid lines.

That was not a big enough "laugh" symbol. Most of the 1827s are at least R4s.
What do you have to say about Baley's "artifact lines"? Do you see them only on your picture, or are those marks really marks on the coin?

Don't EVEN go there!!! At least not yet. While you only have 3 I still lack 3 varieties to go for the year...(136, 148, & 149)...2 R-6+ and an R-8.
Of course, short of either hitting the lottery or being hit in the head underneath a cherry tree I don't think I will be able to ever get there.

i have no idea of the value, just looking
