Question on Heritage 2005

I bought two boxes last year and didnt feel like pursuing the entire set. I have 8 refractors. Two are numbered to 556 and appear to be different from the ones numbered to 1956. Whats the difference besides how they look? Is there a name for the lesser numbered ones?
Thanks

Matt

I think the ones numbered to 1956 are chrome cards and the 556 are the chrome refractors
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

    Matt,
Can you post the list of the Chrome and Chrome Refractors that you have?image
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

Thanks Matt, I was wishfully hoping there was a Brian Roberts or Ichiro in the lot.

And I'm refractor ignorant. What is/are the distinguishing characteristics of a refractor?? Comparing the Heritage Chrome (/1956) against the refractor (/556) doesn't show me much difference...

    Thanks!

I would say the refractors have more of a mirror quality to them. Turn them different ways in the light and you see a "rainbow" of colors. They seem to be alot deeper on surface then standard chrome cards. Hope I helped and didnt make it worseimage
