I'm sure there are some people who can do it, but how many people do you think there are who can authenticate any of these signatures?

I ask because I collect basketball HOF autographs and there are some very obscure contributors whose autograph may be close to non existant. I have to rely on the person selling the autograph, because I've never seen them before. I can make an educated guess based on the type of ink and the medium on which it was signed, but I can never be totally sure that the autograph is real.

How many Frank Grants or Andy Coopers are there to use as exemplars?

I know this is almost a rhetorical question, but I would like some other opinions.
