Whoa.. I just checked out the high bidder... and Just letting everyone know coinnut36 (even though it has a nice ring to it) is NOT me.. I dont have an ebay account.
Looks legit to me, very similar color with other private company's after market holders.

Why don't people just say what their stupid reserve is? If people bid and keep getting "reserve not met" what is the point? Just state the reserve already. lol
PCGS did not say this coin is NT. The wording they use is something like "They will not encapsulate coins that they determine are AT". This one they could not determine with reasonable doubt to be AT. PCGS leaves it open for PCGS to decide differently at any time.
I would not think this coin NT.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
You really can't tell because all siver PROOFS can tone very spectacular NT colors - take a look at earlier proofs from the 19th century in any catelog. If it was a business strike I'd say AT but this looks normal for a proof. Plus the seller has 100% feedback and has some real business stike NT coins (see his 1887 Morgan with canvass bag textile rainbow toning that isn't know to be commonly faked).

Yes. It is absolutely NT. The coin likely toned in a cardboard velvet flocked aftermarket holder.

No Way!
Your coin is not in a PCGS holder, so we have no way of knowing whether or not the coin is AT.

Just throwing out a comparison coin for giggles
While certainly no expert in toned Kennedy's, it certainly looks like the real deal.
Of course now it'll probably turn out that the one in the auction came from Tonecoin2003.

The bin can be higher than the reserve. Can it not. If someone bids that then they would just simply buy it and not bid.
That makes no sense.
nope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would not think this coin NT.
<< <i>Russ............that Kennedy you pictured holdered at PCGS. It may not be a pretty but it was a lot cheaper. >>
Cool. I figured it would.
