Friday's Finds w/ a First...

Hit a Civil War camp site that I found last year. It's just a small site that was most likely only used as an overnight stop a few times. I detected for about 2 hours.

Here is everything that I found.



This is my great find. It is my first Eagle R and in great shape for the Kansas soil. This is a rare find and there is one on Ebay right now for $70. Not bad.

Other than the lead, any other identifiable relics in that group pictured?
Also, is this the first time you hit the site? (just curiuos what else you'd found out there)

I have found 3 knapsack hooks there, and a few assorted bullets. Also a plain eagle button & a button back. I'll post a group pic sometime.

The upper left is part of a pocket knife, Upper right are 2 pinfire cartidges, they go to a pistol that was used from the 1850-60's.

I haven't been able to go hunting much before the baby came so I would imagine that I will be able to go about the same now.
