1942 D Mecury Dime Error Help With Value Please

Hi I was looking at a dime my son aquired at the coins show in Dec/05 in Baltimore and it has a die crack and has a large piece of cud on the 1pm to 4pm area, the coin is in xf condition, do you think its worth anything and should I have it Slabbed, thanks for any help on this one guys/gals/creatures.
