That card would represent sacrilege to many a BoSox fan. It just makes no sense...but then again, what has Topps done as of late that has made sense???
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
A Bucky Dent/Aaron Boone/Mookie Wilson/Ed Armbrister Quad Auto would be a smarter card for Topps to put together. Could consider adding Johnny Pesky and/or Bob Gibson to to complete it.

perhaps a Billy Buck GU glove piece could be added as well?
anyone find the Mike Piazza/Roger Clemens card yet?? only kidding but that would be another good combination.....hey this sounds almost like a good topic for another thread.....who can come up with the greatest mis matched combo card!!!!

I'd prefer the Dennis Martinez/Kirby Puckett combo...
On second thought, that's just not right.

I know, imagine a sap like Ted Williams being on the same card as A-Rod
All kidding aside, the Then and Nows are matched with like career numbers at a comparable age point right? AND, and UNDERLINE the AND ..... if A-Rod had indeed signed with the Sox back when there would be no problem with this card as far as Sox fans go.
Yaz & Manny Rice & Manny Yaz & Ortiz Rice & Ortiz ARod & Mattingly ARod & the MIck ARod & Jolting Joe ARod & Reggie
Now those would work and there would be great markets for those. So they had a plan of matching up stats? Well, I guess that's all good...but for that card (ARod & Yaz), it just doesn't work. Not blaming Topps if they had a good insert plan, just odd to see that mix since we all know fans of either team are going to be happy.

What's the point of that card anyway? Further proof that the card companies today are completely out of touch with what collectors want.
Hang on, I just saw a Carl Yastrzemski / Luis Sojo dual auto # to 10 that I just gotta have...
