A struck thru grease Coin, is this an error?

My understanding is that struck through grease coins are considered minor errors are very common and don't command a premium unless the grease obliterates either a significant portion of the coin design or an interesting portion of the design. Like if it makes a letter or 2 disappear and it looks interesting.

Well my 1972 P Ike is a Breen-5749 Type 2 and Struck Thru Grease...the letters in LIB are real weak and I am believing this is the Breen-5749.

Yes, struck through grease coins are error coins. Unless the error is dramatic, this error will lower the value of the coin, especially on MS coins.

I like the little struck through thread, or struck through wire errors, but I avoid struck through grease.
