How out of control is the ebay sniping thread?

Why must this thread get so much attention? It's not "out of control" there's nothing wrong with bidding within the last few seconds...

Forgive me, but let's put that thread to rest.

  • The coin forum has been taken over by out of control/off topic threads.

It's a real shame. When I first joined, you would be told very quickly that a thread didn't belong here. Not anymore. Nobody wants to hurt someones feelings!!image

It is so out of control that a thread had to be created to show how out of control it is. image

its not as out of control as the "I PERSONALLY BELIEVE PCGS DID THE RIGHT THING MAKING "SF" OR NON-SF OPTIONAL FOR STATE QUARTERS" thread in "set registry" section....

The typical ebay auction duration is 7 days. That is 168 hours. Which is 10,080 minutes. Which reduces down to 604,800 seconds.
I don't care if a bid is placed during the first second, or the 604,799th second. It's fair and absolutely nothing wrong or un-ethical about it. If anything, I think it's a very smart strategy. If someone is upset that they were "sniped" at the end of the auction, then they should have placed a higher bid, period! The End!image
