1900-0 vam 29a EDS or vam 35?

If you look at the rev the crack from in between the A and T to the Dentical lines up with the V of the Neck and the base of the 1, EDS not all the way thru when i use my die clash tool.
Any and all opinions welcome

This is a new one on me. At first glance the date cracks look like VAM 35, except they don't extend to the left of the 1... and the positioning of the cracks is too high to be even remotely similar to VAM 29A.

I have always wondered if a die break VAM would turn up where the breaking was present on both sides of the coin (a crack-through), but I'd never seen one. This may be it, however.

This isn't a VAM29a or 35a. It doesn't match the cracks pictured here so it is another cracking die.

Dennis, as for a crack going all the way through - can't happen from a die crack. There was a hammer die that moved down to strike the planchet from the top and an anvil die on the bottom that was fixed. They were two unique pieces so cracks are independent on the two (look at the 21-D 1X where a piece of the obverse die fell away. The reverse was unaffected except it didn't strike up as well because all the metal squished out where the die was broken. Now, I have cracked planchet coins that the crack goes all the way through,but that is an actual crack into the metal, not a raised line from a crack in the striking die. These cracked planchet errors will be one-of-a-kind unique to that planchet.
