The Post Office Loses One...

We all have our gripes about the post office due to lost, damaged, misplaced, etc. packages. We'll here's one for the
consumer. It's not quite along the same lines, but it's a defeat for the post office nevertheless.

The Supreme Court ruled today that the U.S. can be used by a woman who tripped and fell and suffered wrist
and back injuries after letters, packages and periodicals were left on her porch instead of her mail box. Here's

The article cites that the post office deliver 660 million pieces of mail per day. That works out to almost 241 BILLION
pieces a year. Unbelievable. Even at the minimum $0.39 per article (which we know it is not), that works out to
a nice $94 billion in postage alone. Crazy.
