Do you ever do this?

Do you ever get bored and bid on a card on ebay, then 10 minutes later you think, "what the heck was I thinking?". Then you just sit and hope you get outbid. I did this the other night but I ended up winning the card. Sometimes when I dont see anything I like, I get a little trigger happy.

At least 2 or 3 times a week I do it. Same reasons..... boredom, lack of anything I really want or need, so I just end up bidding on stuff I dont need, want, or collect just to scratch the itch.

I can do one better.....how many times you wake up on a sunday and dread looking at your my ebay page, b/c you were too drunk to remember if you bid on anything the night before? I've spent some good money on some really crappy cards!

I never do that anymore. I learned my lesson when I bid $6,000 on a mower about 3 years ago. I could have paid for it on a credit card but it would have made things pretty tight. The worst part was it was in New Jersey and I live in Florida. I actually went as far as getting directions via msn maps but thankfully someone outbid me on the last day

is there a limit to # of retracted bids you may have on e-bay anyway?

I have retracted a bid or 10 in my day.

Julen, Good point. I never even thought of retracting my bid because it was when I first starting using ebay and just didnt know I could do that. Man, that would have saved me alot of worrying!

Duner, I try not to go on ebay under the influence otherwise I would have that 51 Bowman Mantle. However, theres an excuse to get one.
