what's a fair price for a 1963 Topps Ray Nitschke PSA 8?

I am trying to do a trade of NFL HOF Rookie cards with another person on the registry.
In my short time collecting the set, I haven't seen a 1963 Topps Ray Nitschke PSA 8 change hands. So I'm asking for help on that card.

What do you think the fair price for it is? It would help me in determining if the trade is fair or not.

Thanks in advance.

  • Kennylow,

I actually purchased a Nitschke RC PSA 8 as part of a lot about 2 years ago and sold it to a member on this board. I believe that I sold it for $160. Hope that helps.

    $400 - $ 450 IMHO
  • Wow, that's a big difference. $160 2 years ago vs $400 now? Has it jumped up that much. I wouldn't be surprised if it did, as it seems a ton of high quality cards have.

As the formost expert on PSA graded Packers cards on this entire board (and possibly the free world),

my opinion is that $400-$500 is accurate.

PSA 7's go for $100+ these days.

    Loves me some shiny!
  • Kennylow,

I would take these guys estimate over my input. As I mentioned, it has been at least 2 years since I sold it. The market for vintage football has been greatly on the rise for a while now and I honestly didn't try to make a killing off my Nitschke because I got an incredible price on the lot. If you saw the other cards that I got in the lot for around $250...you would have not believed it:>}. Lots of Walter Payton PSA8 and PSA9, some other nice graded HOFers, and some terrific Steelers cards including Swann and Stallworth RCs in PSA9!
