What's up with Lincoln pops for 1950-D? 14 new MS68's????

The pop report for 1950-D in 67 shows 25/0, and has for a while. However, if you look at an open set with this coin, it shows 25 with 14 higher!
Is it just a glitch in the system? I seem to recall that the registry set pages pull data in real time off of the system, and the pop reports are not updated except on certain days. But, I can't recall exactly what the order or process is.
It would certainly be newsworthy if someone made 14 MS68 Lincolns for 1950-D.

Doug,
I can't believe it!! I had sent in a bunch from an original roll and they all came back MS-68!!! What a score. I can't really decide if I want to keep them or sell them like Stewart did with all those 1919's in 68. I think I'll just sit tight with them for a while...

I just looked at my RAW 1950-D in my collection and it looks like a solid MS65RD! Is that good?

Steve,
I do think that is pretty good. It's a tough date to find in nice condition.

If you go to the "Lookup PCGS No" box and put in the PCGS Number (2782), it shows these as being MS69.
Jack! You were being modest!!!
68, 69, whatever. It's all the same to me. It just shows what a great eye I have for Lincolns!!!

Hi Jack,
Have you ever heard of any collector who owns a raw coin and doesn't think the coin "looks" better than the PCGS grader determines? By the way, I do agree with you that my coin is in "nice" condition. Unfortunately, the hobby doesn't recognize that condition as a grade. If I REALLY thought my coin was worth $20 more than the $2.00 I value it at, I would send it in to PCGS.

Steve,
Interesting point, but I am not sure I totally agree. I have many early Lincolns that are not slabbed from my earlier days of collecting. I sent a few in that I thought were just "nice" coins and PCGS agreed. Now, they weren't top pops, but I was pleasantly suprised with the increase in value. I would agree with not sending in your 50-D. But, if you have any teens or twenties that are "nice" I'd suggest sending them in.
Jack
I hear what you are saying. Most of the teen and twenty Lincoln's that are not slabbed have been thru the bodybag route, some more than once. I do have about ten more that I will try this spring. Last year I sent in 8 and got 4 to grade, one being my 1917S in MS64RD. Steve

O'K, now that we have settled that issue, do you want to buy a 1950-D in MS-69RD?
