Question For The Greyside Guys

Should the PCGS Registry start including, the brass cent, the W9/8, the DP's, 1891 varieties, and the obverse Victorian varieties as a "with varieties" Vicky cent set, similar to their US registry sets? See Buffalo nickels or two cent pieces.

This would delete six coins from the basic Vicky cent set (making 22 coins). For dates with more than one variety, any of the varieties would qualify for this basic Vicky set. The "with Varieties" set would be the basic set plus:

1859 Brass
1859 W9/8
1859 DP#1
1859 DP#2
1882 Obv 1 & 2
1884 Obv 1 & 2
1886 Obv 1 & 2
1891 three date and leaf varietes times Obv 2 and Obv 3 = six coins
1892 Obv 2, 3, & 4

Similar sets could be done for the silver Vicky series.

I think there should be two sets, with and without varieties.

    I vote YES!

PCGS will have to start recognizing the portrait types to make this happen. Also may want to include varieties such as the:
    1859 low 9
medal and coinage alignments of the 1858 and the 9/8s
    1895 high 9 or low 5
    1896 far 6

Also may want to add variety sets for other denominations

Wish they would do that for Canadian Dollars ... right now the only sets available are with varieties ... at least in the case of the 1968 and 1974 coins.
