What does a Cherry Wood Box do to a coin that has been left in that box for 15 years?
Does it develop toning of some kind, what exactly does it do? Anyone know?

Ditto (except mine is the 6 piece)
<< <i>Well the reason I asked is because I bought a couple of unc sets back around 1999 and some of the coins are taking on the blueish tent of the felt like holder that holds the coin and the plastic holder...some are also redish...it is an all over surface tent not a bullseye or cresent...I would say these sets date back to the late 70's...so they have been in there for some time...I took them out and put them in my albums. >>
It's not the box, it's the felt (& the toning you describe is known to happen).

I'd give you the world, just because...
Speak to me of loved ones, favorite places and things, loves lost and gained, tears shed for joy and sorrow, of when I see the sparkle in your eye ...
and the blackness when the dream dies, of lovers, fools, adventurers and kings while I sip my wine and contemplate the Chi.

Exactly. The felt is a killer.
