2000 Fleer Tradition Glossy Factory Set Reviews..

Purchased a 2000 Fleer Tradition Factory Set recently for a rather cheap price. I love opening up sets like this to go through them, and call me crazy but I always loved the design of this set. I'm curious if anyone else has opened a factory set of this stuff and gone through them. The cards have some minor problems. Some of the gloss seems like it ran onto the back of some of the cards. Other cards are chipped, and the border on most player cards seems to be dulled or yellowed slightly. Still a good set.

Honestly it was FLEER who got TOPPS to consider doing heritage sets based on the immediate success of 2000 Fleer Tradition. I personally love 2001 fleer tradition better....with its combination of 1956,1955, and new design making a great looking set with pujols and ichiro rookies....2000 and 2001 Fleer tradition are great sets....and easier to come by (CHEAPER) then the topps heritage counterpart.

I wonder if they rely on people never opening the sets and keeping them as investments?

Sorry to hear about the cards.

I like the Fleer tradition cards BTW.

  • It's still a GREAT set....only a few cards are really damaged.

This set reminds me so much of 2003 Topps Heritage.
