RBD - you've really got to start bidding a little harder on cards like this. You've got an image to uphold! image

    I had mentioned on a thread with a 10 of Dan's.

    That card is perfect!

Do you realize how many 76T cards you have to go thru to find one this nice?

    Incredible

Matt, oh yes! I really did want this card, as I most likley will never see one nicer! But I knew Tim (aka: cincyfan01) is a huge fan of HOF cincy players (as Seaver was once with the Reds!).

I'm sure cincyfan01 (Tim) would have bid much higher than the winning bid of $560, I spoke to Tim just this week via the phone, and emails and I just did not want to "bid this card up" and cost Tim some big dollars. As I was quite sure I would either have to "pay the piper" here to win this card, or I just punish another fellow 1976 collector, who most likley would have won the card anyway!

We've bid against each other hundreds of times, and you get a "feel for one's bidding action".

    Great win Tim/cincyfan01 !! Congrats!

  • Come on, rbdjr1 - You're better than that!

You let us down, my friend.

It is you through whom I live vicariously.

Please don't let this happen again.

    Sorrowfully yours,

tom seaver kind of looks like a runway model in that picture doesn't he?

definitely some feminine quality to that card.

What happened? Lmayer outbid you and he is the king of low ball bids. That is not a slap against him, but you know when he wins it was at a rock bottom price.image
