So who on this Forum collects/trades New Zealand Coins?

I recently bought a Dansco 4-page "Type Set" folder, and need to fill 16 holes! Anyone with extra, pre-decimals to trade/sell?

Thanks in advance!

I don't, but I like 'em. Have always thought that that NZ predecimal Dansco might be fun.

I just looked through what's here at the house (yeah, you caught me at home with my coins fer a change), and I only found two pieces. One is a decimal 50-cent piece you probably don't need. The other is a 1965 florin. I haven't put a glass to the florin, but it looks UNC to me.

Yours if you PM your addy. image

PS- I could swear I had a threepence or sixpence, and a silver florin- all circ George V pieces, but I can't find 'em here. They must already be out in my case at the antique mall.

I thought of you, Terry. Since you gave me the last QE2 1/2d I needed to fill my old Whitmans, I thought it incumbent upon me to get DBS started on his NZ set, to sort of "pay it forward".

I've been the recipient of a lot of generosity lately.

I do! Am in the (long) process of putting together a complete predecimal set in choice condition. Are you taking the shotgun approach or are you going to collect in a certain grade? I may have some higher end dups.

Thanks to all who responded - - I've been checking sig lines & eBay sales since originally posting this thread, and filled a few holes with coins bought at our monthly local coin show. I'm now down to 16 holes I still need to fill - my guess is the 18 I have managed to fill so far (all average circ coins) are the easiest ones.

Here's my updated remaining list of New Zealand "needs" (2/26/06). If anyone has any of those listed below available for trade, please PM me. Remember - - I'm not looking for killer grades - - just another hole-filling tangent......................

    NEEDS:

Half penny: George VI (KM#12: 1940-47 "King Emperor")

3-pence: George VI (KM#15: 1948-52 "King George the Sixth")

    6-pence: George VI (KM#8a: 1947 C-N) & (KM#16: 1948-52 "King George the Sixth" C-N)

Shilling: George VI (KM#17: 1948-52 "King George the Sixth")

    Florin: George V (KM#4: 1933-36); (KM#10.2a: 1947 C-N), & (KM#18: 1948-51 "King George the Sixth")

    Halfcrown: Geo V (KM#5: 1933-35); Geo VI (KM#11: 1937-46 "K..E..."), (KM#14: 1940 Centennial),
    (KM#11a: 1947 C-N), & (KM#19: 1948-51 "King George the Sixth"); Eliz. II (KM#29.x: 1953-?)

Crown: Geo VI (KM#22: 1949 "Royal Visit") ; Elizabeth II (KM#30: 1953 "Coronation").

    Thanks again!
