Modern Hockey Guys, What's Going On Here (Crosby PSA 10)?

Is this a simple 2005/2006 Upper Deck base card of Crosby that I might pull from a pack at Target? Is it a 1-of-1? WHY did it end at $281.50?

Just curious.

    It's a PSA 10 Gem Mint card of the most highly anticipated rookie of recent years. That's pretty much it. Hockey guys are among the most devoted and deep-pocketed when it comes to chasing rookies, worst (or best) of the 4 sports, IMHO.

    2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
    2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
    Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    What a classic. To make it better 82 of the 96 graded by PSA have come back as 10's (provided I'm reading the pop reports right) so you can tell it's a real condition rarity.

    After this sale I wouldn't be surprised to see about 40 of these hit the 'bay in the next two weeks.
