Ignore this message!!! What's an acceptable way to get one's attention?

I was just re-reading the thread where everyone introduces themselves, and saw an interesting member post. I'd like to PM with him, but he doesn't have his PM set up. Short of responding to the post to set up his PM (which he may or may not ever see again), what is an acceptable way to get this request out to him? Is it ok to put up a post entitled: "Hey, xxxx, turn on your PM!" ?

Creating a post entitled "What's an acceptable way to get one's attention?" worked, in my case.
