Are you sure it is gum? or is it wax?

    Good for you.

It's difficult to get the wax off. Just ask Mr. Myoggi! I have had some luck with a white cloth and a warm Iron to draw most of it off.
My focus, 1970 Topps Baseball Raw and Graded, pre 1989 PSA Hockey and 1933 INDIAN GUM ! Yikes!!

it is wax...sorry about that. i'll change the title. i'm sure it's next to impossible to get any of the gum residue off of the back, but the wax may be easier.

    Thanks,

I long time ago I was told to use pantyhose. I don't know if it works because I haven't tried it.

Pantyhose work on wax stains on the front of cards...not the back....
As the cardboard actually obsorbs the wax and stains it......not matter what you use....in 30+ years of collecting, I have never found anything that takes it off the back without leaving either a trace or tell tale sign that it's been done...

Lighter fluid and a rag, just a little dab on a rag and rub on the spot.

    Stingray.

cards that have glossy type backs can also be cleaned up with the hose.
