Question on scanners

The scanner I am using (hp scanjet4570c) works fairly well. However, I think there may be ones that work better. By better, I mean they may have sharper scans; are more versitile by being able to do several scans at once: have a memory setting so I don't have to crop each scan.
What do you guys recommend. I was checking out a Canon CanoScan LiDE 60. It looks like it has more features than mine, but I am not sure about how sharp the scans will be. Anyone have any experience with this scanner?

I have a Canon 8400F I have been very happy with. Cost around ~125 after rebates. It's a CCD scanner and does very well with PSA slabs.
