Do any of you keep a few reference books around for your sports collection? have some recommendations?
I've got two Beckett Alphabetical Player checklist books, one for baseball, one for football.
a Beckett Baseball Card & Collectables almanac (2001)
a Beckett Football annual price guide (the big one with set descriptions, 2005).
I like the printed material mainly for the set listsings and checklists. The little blurb they put with each set is kinda cool to, especially when they get into little trivia points about various sets that you wouldn't know otherwise.

These are the main things I look at along with some older pubs like Beckett's Memorabilia Guide that has some nice pics - like up to the 1988 date on it, it has pics of all the press pins made in it.
