Just a Crazy idea that may have some merit

I responded to a thread on the US Coin forum regarding whether this forum has any effect on TPG... Let's put this to the test on the Darkside...

I have a proposal that might be worth considering...
Let's put this question to a real test. Let's create a weekly or perhaps monthly thread to address an issue with TPG. For example, a new designation, the acceptance of a rare variety for identification purposes and to be slabbed as such. The subject can be suggested by any board member that regularly contributes here and the posts can support or oppose the suggestion. A poll can be used to demonstrate/monitor the number of members that read the thread or voted to support/oppose the suggestion. After the appropriate time, whether it be one week or one month, the thread closes and the results speak for themselves...
Then comes the real fun... does anything really happen based upon this???
For the first wave, I am asking for a multi coin holder to accomidate British Maundy Coinage... please consider expressing your thoughts to show either your support or if it is a waste of effort... thanks

Yes, NGC needs to accept any coins for a multi-holder, as long as they physically fit into the slab and can be graded/attributed. There is no reason to accept some coins from some countries and not others.
<< <i>Good idea with the Maundy sets, especially if it can be done in a single-coin sized holder! >>
Absolutely! The Maundy sets are small enough to fit in a single coin holder (maybe not the old ANACS one) and would look terrific in one of NGC's or PCGS's regular size slabs. I'd bet NGC would be the logical company to approach with this idea first since they have been known to make multi-coin holders in the past.

<< <i>and I would think that NGC would do it right now if you asked them >>
I've asked them, they said 'No'.

Hi Don:
Thanks for you inquiry. We are now in the process of creating an NGC Multi-Coin holder that will accommodate the Maundy Set. These holders should be available shortly. You are welcome to submit Maundy Sets at any time for encapsulation in the Multi-Coin Holder, although there may be a short delay pending arrival of the new holder. I

I then asked them about coins already certified. Again, a very quick response:
Hi Don,
If your coins are already certified by NGC, they can be reholdered in a Multi-Coin Set for the reholder fee of $5/coin, or $20 for the set. Submit your coins in holder and they will be removed and re-encapsulated per your request. The certification numbers will change, but the graders remain the same.
Regards,
Scott

edited to add: maybe there is hope for other matters that are significant.
