    Well, it seems like the only 10's we've seen lately were lawnmowerman's and all those serial #'s started with 124xxxxxx. Hmmm, a pattern here??? Strange that there isn't even one 10.

    You gotta be happy with those 9's on the Topps though.

    Yes, I was thrilled with the 74's and the Newsome rc, but I am going have to resub some of the 86's, maybe ldferg can tell me what they look for on these?

    I thought there were about 10 that were sure 8's, either borderline centering or a slight corner touch. The rest I thought all had shots and 9's and possibly a few 10's.

    These came from a set I got in 1986 and put them in a binder and there they all sat untill I just put them in card savers last week to send them in. There really were several cards that had 4 perfect corners so I will be interested to reinspect them when I get them back.

    Interestingly, you did well on the tough cards. Getting a PSA 9 of Mullin, Davis, Fleming, Pressey, and Scott is pretty good.

    I recently had a submission that was graded by 314...... of 93 Refractors. While I got about 25% 10's, I cherry-picked the cards to be virtually flawless. That said, I cracked out 10 or so and they should pop this week (hopefully).

    I'm beginning to buy into this "grader of death" theory.

    you are right about the 86s. kind of like the 85t fb. if there is the least bit of white showing, you can forget about a 10, no matter how sharp the corners may be. the edges are tougher to get on these than the corners, imo. you can have flawless razor sharp corners and then the slightest chip on the blue strip or the red and it will knock it to a 9 easily. i've hit a 10 on only 5 of the ones i've submitted in the past. i just sent in a few myself and i'm not expecting any above a 9...hopefully i won't have grader 314.. image

    hey, where's the jordan or the checklist in this batch?

    regardless, nice submission overall. i like the ozzie rc. let me know if you are letting any of the 8s go. i'm thinking about doing the set in an 8.

    I graded them with my first freebies about 5 years ago. They are on eBay right now with many of the other stars all in PSA 8. I think there were a few of those that could have been 9's as well however not the Jordan due to centering.

    The checklist I think is borderline 9 and could get the bump if resubmitted.


    TB- Only the Otto is from that vending box. The others I have just picked up along the wayimage

    bottom right is ever so slightly touched and you can't see that on the scan.


    ld, if I scan in some of the 8's will you let me know if you think they might be worth re-subbung? I think I will scan and link so I can do it in large rez. LMK and I will scan some that look good to me.
