Not for nothing, but most people would consider the tape residue a flaw...

If you look at the larger image, you'll notice there is some tape residue on that card.

How has nobody noticed the tape on the obverse of the card?

Surely the reverse has tape as well.

    Also a little OC t/b.

Also a little star of david in the background. I thought pA would mention that since we all know that he hates Jewish peoples.

    Where's the tape?

I used to have a card like that but I taped it inside a safe back in the mid 60's and someone stole the safe. I wish I still had that card.

Maybe the tape was being used to re-attach the 1/2 inch of the border that was trimmed away around the entire perimeter of the card???

The trimmed border must've been locked away in Al Capone's vault for safekeeping - wonder when Geraldo will uncover that gem!?!

Would this card get at least a PRO 7.5?

That's not tape, that's how they came printed back in '33/34. Were you around in '33/34? I wasn't, but I know of a guy who was and he was a big Eddie Shore fan and he had an Eddie Shore card that he ummm, placed in an album. Those cards stuck in albums with no assistance from any foreign substances. At least that's what he told me, but he also told me he played hockey with loafs of italian bread as sticks. Besides, this card hasn't been touched by human hands since 1965!!! Not even for the picture that was taken. He shook the card out of the safe and it landed on the table that way. In order to get the card back in the safe, he had to blow really hard.

Come on! It's Eddie Shore! Old Time Hockey!!!
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

Look at these fakes! They're of unusally larger size and are missing tape!
