I believe "Hack" Wilson, the all time single season RBI record holder was quite the drinker.

In the famous baseball insider book " The Long Season" many stories were told as to players drinking habits. I really liked the references regarding the St' Louis Cardinals ( then owned by Bush of the brewery fame ) manager encouraging the guys to " pound down those Budwiesers " which were provided free, after the game.

Broadcasting superstar, the late Harry Carey, often mused, "You can't beat fun at the old ballpark, but if you can't make to the park, You can't beat fun watching at the old tavern."

the "Hack" Wilson stories are legendary... Based upon the people that have been nominated, it seems that sports personalities are not the only folks that can be selected...

Bobby Lane nearly looks as if he is bowling on a football field... he was truly a great quarterback and we will leave it at that.

W.C. Fields probably could have opened a bar and served his neighborhood of Los Feliz quite well and for some time...
