Here are a couple pics of the 1953-D. They still suck... but they are better. I didnt get any of the pics of the 1958 as I gave it to a buddy who collects coins. Those were the only 2 we FOUND, but we did pick up a few others also over there.

Edited to add: My pic taking skills are getting better. Here are a couple new ones.

Did CoC ever share the story behind the find of that old rifle? If so, I don't remember reading it.

Shoot, I know a place down here where I can guarantee you'll find teeth like that. They are pretty cool, when you stop to think that they're probably 5 to 10 million years old.

But the real prize are the fossil teeth of carcharocles megalodon. The extinct, whale-eating, boxcar-sized ancestors of today's Great White sharks. (But bigger- much bigger).

Here is a megalodon tooth I found a while back. Not my biggest but my nicest. It's only medium-sized for a meg. Probably from a 30-35 foot shark. I've found two bigger ones that were almost the size of my hand (5+"). Now those are a prize.

I guess this is all I had said about this:>>Best "Wild Card" Find

22 LR bolt action tube fed? I never saw one of these. I have seen simi auto with a 18 round tube feed, but not a bolt action.
The barrel is heavy and has a loop for a sling.<<

I found it while installing a window in an old home in Malibu, CA. After installing the window, I had to pick up parts of the old window frame. The old frame was steel, and I just put the old frame parts into the back of the truck. when I went to unload the junk from the truck, I found this item.
I offten run my BullsEye pinpointer under windows. Lots of things fall out of open window.
