PEG LEG IKES FOUND.........

image
I attended the Charlotte, N.C. show today, and found several Peg Leg Ikes : 1974-D, 1978-D, 1977-D, 1976-D-Type # 2, and four ( 4 ),
Proof 1971-S Peg Legs.
However, no 1972-P- Type # 2 raw coins. I stayed all day, and looked at every Ike at the show.

    Nice job on the Peg-Legs!

Don't feel bad about not findng a Type 2......they are getting REALLY hard to find! Too many people have been
searching for them for many years. The raw supply of them is drying up fast!image

Gary, good job on the business strike peg leg. I have been searching for many years, and have found only one in the last three years.
I don't have a digital camera, so could someone post a picture of one, so that the other members could see how they look ?

I think that I will keep them raw until PCGS adds them to the registry. The 1972-D is not that hard to find, slightly more difficult than the 1971-S proof peg leg. The other peg leg Ikes are much more difficult.
The 1971-S business strike is very, very hard to find.
